POSITION SUMMARY:
- The Pastor of Worship is responsible for creative vision casting and production of community worship through music, volunteer engagement and technical support. This role works to implement the church's mission and help the campus grow and thrive. All efforts are carried out in collaboration with and under the guidance of the central leadership team, ensuring alignment with the church's overall vision and direction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Community Engagement & Leadership
○ Live in and actively engage with the Rapid City/Box Elder community.
○ Build connections through discipleship, outreach, and community-building initiatives.
○ Oversee assimilation, ensuring newcomers are welcomed and connected.
○ Support local and global mission strategies in collaboration with central leadership. - Worship Leadership
○ Serve as the primary worship leader for morning services, facilitating congregational worship.
○ Recruit, develop, and oversee worship teams and technicians.
○ Coordinate and lead rehearsals, manage worship schedules, and ensure technical production elements are in place. - Weekend Services & Hospitality
○ Oversee weekend services, ensuring they are welcoming and impactful.
○ Host services and guide attendees through meaningful worship experiences.
○ Coordinate First Impressions teams and execute Sunday experiences with excellence. - Discipleship & Small Groups
○ Facilitate discipleship experiences and provide support for leaders and groups.
○ Recruit and coach small group leaders, fostering ongoing spiritual growth.
○ Teach and lead classes, such as baptism and First Steps. - Pastoral Care & Events
○ Provide pastoral care, including weddings, funerals, baptisms, and counseling.
○ Assist with pre-marriage seminars and central discipleship events.
○ Participate in occasional preaching and volunteering opportunities. - Team Collaboration & Administration
○ Partner with staff and volunteers to plan and execute campus events and initiatives.
○ Manage the ministry budget and track expenses.
○ Work with the Ministry Leaders & Ministry Teams to manage campus social media content. - Facilities Oversight
○ Work in conjunction with the Operations & Facilities Director to manage contracting work for repairs, upgrades, and more.

- Able to demonstrate proficiency on (or shows aptitude to learn) ProPresenter 7, MultiTracks.com/Playback iPad app, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Education and Experience:
- Degree from Bible College/University
- Degree in Music, Worship Ministry, Christian Ministry, or related field.
- Experience in service planning/administration and event planning.
- Familiarity with music theory, a lead instrument (guitar or piano), and related tech tools.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Experience working with children in a church or educational setting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire volunteers.
- Creativity and flexibility in program planning.
- Background check required.
