POSITION SUMMARY:
- The Pastor of Family Ministry is responsible for creative vision casting and production of family discipleship for children and students through creative curriculum preparation, volunteer engagement and technical support. This role works to implement the church's mission and help the campus grow and thrive. All efforts are carried out in collaboration with and under the guidance of the central leadership team, ensuring alignment with the church's overall vision and direction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Curriculum Development:
○ Organize and implement age-appropriate, biblically sound curriculum for Sunday mornings and other children’s programs. - Volunteer Recruitment & Training:
○ Recruit, train, and support volunteers to teach and assist in Sunday morning classes and other children’s ministry events.
○ Encourage and inspire volunteers to value and treasure the youngest of the church family. - Kids Camp (Vacation Bible School):
○ Plan and lead an annual VBS program, including theme selection, curriculum, logistics, volunteer coordination, and promotion. - Teaching & Leadership:
○ Serve as a lead teacher when needed and provide spiritual guidance and oversight for all children’s ministry activities, leading with energy and intention. - Program Oversight:
○ Ensure all children’s ministry programs are safe, welcoming, and aligned with the church’s mission and values.
○ Work cohesively with other ministers to ensure consistent discipleship and unity across all ministries. - Family Engagement:
○ Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, providing updates, resources, and opportunities for involvement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Education and Experience:
- Degree from Bible College/University
- Degree in Early Childhood Education, Christian Ministry, or related field.
- Experience in curriculum development and event planning.
- Familiarity with child safety protocols and best practices.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Experience working with children in a church or educational setting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire volunteers.
- Creativity and flexibility in program planning.
- Background check required.
