The Foundry: a Christian Church

ONE Body, Many Members

May 17, 2026    Trevor Harrison

The church was never designed to revolve around a few gifted people while everyone else watches from the sidelines. Scripture teaches that every believer is a vital part of the body of Christ.

Just as the human body requires many different parts working together, the church flourishes when each person embraces their God-given role. Some serve publicly, others quietly; some lead, others encourage; but every contribution matters.

This message pushes back against consumer Christianity and reminds the church that belonging always leads to participation.

The question is not “Do I matter?” but rather:

“How has God uniquely shaped me to strengthen His body?”

This sermon also reinforces your church vision of serving “one hour a week” as a practical expression of belonging to the body.

Big Idea: The church becomes healthy and effective when every member embraces their God-given role in the body of Christ.
