Enter The Desert

Jun 1, 2025    Trevor Harrison

Often times, as followers of Jesus, we find ourselves in desert-like moments. Times of hardships in life where we feel spiritually dry. Sometimes we enter into these arid experiences while the majority of our everyday is going well. Someone once described these types of spiritual emptiness emotions as "the dark night of the soul."

The Bible often uses use the desert as a real life metaphor for these times where we feel like we have been abandoned by God and are hopeless, directionless and unhappy.

During this series we will step into the sandals of the Israelites as God sends them to wander in the desert between Egypt and the Promised Land. And while we walk along the people of God we will discover that it is in the desert God often shows up more clearly than we may ever imagine.

The Desert Doesn't Mean Deserted.
